Have Van Will Travel: A small group of the older students took a field trip to Cazenovia to visit the studio of illustrator, designer, Syracuse University professor, Roger De Muth. During the visit Roger explained his creative process, and showed the evolution of his illustrative styles. He stressed the importance of writing things down, keeping notes and drawing daily. The students were amazed by his versatility and his unique ideas. At the end of our visit Roger demonstrated how he creates his oil portraits of Artists and ConArtists. As a thank you to Roger the students came up with the idea of each creating a portrait of Roger! One student appropriately decided to use cly for his portrait.
