In the winter and spring of 2026, the third and fourth graders continued their study of early American history. We delved into information about Plymouth, Massachusetts, Manhattan Island, Jamestown and more. Students have read and responded to questions based on the book “If you Lived in Colonial Times” by Ann McGovern. They have learned about clothing and lifestyle in the colonies as well as the regions the 13 Colonies included on the eastern part of what is now the United States. Students have explored the dates of each colony and differences between colonies. We will finish out our year by learning about the colonies separating from England and creating their own country.
